Declaration and Consent

Please note that it is a criminal offence to knowingly or recklessly provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information when applying for a loan. If you provide such information, you may be reported to the police and prosecuted.

As a responsible lender, Interunion Pvt Ltd (“Interunion” hereafter) will carefully assess the information you have provided in the Application Form to determine whether or not to make you an offer of a loan. I/We acknowledge and understand that this is an unregulated loan on the property. Even if we issue an Offer Letter to you, we have the right at any time before any loan completes to withdraw, revise, or cancel our offer without providing a reason.

It is important that you ensure all statements you make in this Application Form and other documents in connection with this application are full, accurate, and correct. You must have read and understood the content of this declaration. All security property(ies) must be adequately insured unless indicated to the contrary.

Credit Reference Agencies & Credit Searches

(1) I/We understand and confirm that Interunion may make a search or register information about me/us and the conduct of my/our account with a licensed credit reference agency to assist Interunion in making credit decisions and occasionally for fraud prevention or to trace debtors.

Processing of Application

(2) I/We authorise Interunion to:
(a) Conduct searches of records at fraud prevention agencies to prevent or detect fraud. The information provided in this application may be shared with these agencies to prevent fraud and money laundering and to verify our identity. This includes searches for similar applications with other members. If fraud is suspected, details may be shared and used in decision-making, which could result in certain services, finance, or employment being refused.
(b) Make enquiries of any person or organisation, including existing or previous mortgage lenders, as necessary in connection with this application.
(c) Pass information to financial and other organisations involved in fraud prevention to protect itself from fraud and theft.
(d) Disclose information about us where it has a duty to do so or where permitted by law.

(3) If false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is suspected, Interunion will record this.
(4) We authorise our solicitor or licensed conveyancer acting on our behalf to disclose information to Interunion or its solicitor, and we authorise Interunion to disclose information to our solicitor or licensed conveyancer relating to this application.
(5) We confirm that we waive any right to claim solicitor/client confidentiality or legal privilege in respect of such information.
(6) We acknowledge that Interunion lends responsibly and, under its Treating Customers Fairly policy, may proactively assist customers who experience repayment difficulties.
(7) We understand that the mortgaged property(ies) provided as security must remain insured.
(8) I/We acknowledge that Interunion may need to contact our solicitor (where appropriate), the intermediary who introduced the loan, and the insurance company(ies) insuring the security property(ies).

If Interunion transfers information to a service provider or agent in another country, it will ensure equivalent data protection standards are applied and that information is used solely for service provision.

Accordingly, until the loan has been repaid in full, I/we irrevocably confirm that Interunion, its successors, and assigns may contact and disclose information to the above-mentioned persons or organisations, and they may disclose to Interunion any information reasonably required in connection with repayment, refinancing, or insurance of the secured property(ies).

By signing this Application Form, either electronically or physically, I/we confirm that the information provided is true, accurate, and correct. I/we declare that income and outgoing details are accurate and that I/we are financially able to meet all commitments, including interest payments. I/we further confirm understanding that this is an unregulated loan and does not carry the same protections as a regulated mortgage contract.

Under the Data Protection Act, you are entitled to know what information is held about you and to request corrections. You may also request details of fraud prevention agencies used. For further information, contact the Data Protection Officer at Interunion Pvt Ltd.
